Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Great refrigerator but Noisy Ice Maker

Kat5756 7/6/2026

The refrigerator is very sleek looking and matches our other Stainless Black appliances. The bottom freezer with the two big basket sections is very nice. I love everything about this refrigerator as described in the specs. The only negative is accessing the Ice Bin is a bit tricky and the "button" is hard to press in while pulling out the bin. Also the ice maker is pretty noisy but other than that I love this refrigerator.

Ice maker not working ( again)

Ep22 2/6/2026

Love the drawer and bottom freezer, The ice machine takes up so much room in the refrigerator and twice it has stopped Working on us. First time they gave us a whole new fridge because they said it was the motherboard and now a few months later our icemaker is not working again all that wasted space for something that doesn™€™t work definitely disappointed. I thought whirlpool was a better brand to be having so many issues.

Whoo 2/5/2026

bought the first one at Home Depot. They delivered it. It leaks and has water on the freezer seal where the frame of the refrigerator is bent. They did three repairs on it not able to get it fixed called whirlpool as per requirements and the second refrigerator was delivered. The second refrigerator had a bigger bend in the frame where you could put your finger between the seal and the frame of the freezer. The third refrigerator that was delivered had a seal that wasn™€™t even glued on. I™€™ve called whirlpool with each incident and they really don™€™t have a great resolution. They state that they will send another refrigerator. I™€™m not sure if number 45 or six will be the better fix there seems to be a manufacturing error with the seals my freezer currently defrost approximately 1/3 of the freezer every single day. I can™€™t use it and yet there does not seem to be a great resolution. I was told I can pick a item from one of therefore companies, but they don™€™t seem to have much selection from there and if they™€™re all manufactured in the same plants, I suspect the problem will repeat over and over I™€™m very disappointed as I™€™ve owned several whirlpool Maytag and KitchenAid products in the past and this seems to be the worst.

L@@Ks BEAUTIFUL!

LH123 8/14/2025

Good deal on this fridge. Ordered online but did not see it in person before it arrived. It™€™s beautiful outside (black stainless steel). Love the 3rd drawer that is REFRIGERATED. I had a card time finding a fridge where that drawer was not a freezer. Freezer is very deep and large with a wire sliding basket for additional storage. The TWO NEGATIVES are: 1] the ice maker is in the top left ares in the fridge which takes away from storage . 2) the compressor is a but large.

Beautiful Fridge - Room for improvement

Wink5 7/18/2025

The fridge looks awesome and is so roomy even with ice maker taking up a lot of room. Couple things I would improve are : 1) no way to store water dispenser amount so have to adjust it every time you want to do measure fill. Needs favorite button on this fridge. 2) can™€™t open the right vegetable/fruit drawer all the way unless open both doors. But can open half way. Make it so can open all the way with just right door open

OVERLY UNIMPRESSED AND DISAPPOINTED

MOVO 7/12/2025

The refrigerator (and range) were installed on 7/1. Refrigerator internal lights do not work. Also just noticed that the seal on the top pull-out draw (right below the french doors) appears broken. Rep tried to sell me a service agreement to which I would have to pay $150 to have someone come look at the fridge. I HAD THE REFRIGERATOR LESS THAN ONE HOUR! They corrected themselves and is sending out a tech on 7/14. Also discovered how little ice the ice maker makes. Very disappointing. Regarding the range I bought, I'm totally unhappy with it. Cavity is smaller, no back light, cheeeezie lid draw, baking temperature not accurate, "lo" burner setting is way to hot, can't view time remaining on timer when using stovetop AND oven at the same time, and also a seemingly ineffective door seal.

Cnick 5/28/2025

If I could give 0 stars I would. VERY noisy! VERY small inside! Must open both doors to fully open right side crisper drawer!🤪 One 3 pack of romaine lettuce pretty much fills the drawer! At 6 months old seal around right hand door was cracked in several places. There is condensation on seal inside freezer drawer. Service tech replaced door seal but new seal has several folds in it from being packaged. It™€™s been installed for week and not showing signs of improvement. He ™€œsoftened the seal with heat gun™€ in freezer drawer. No change in appearance of condensation. I really want my $$$$ back!!!

Whirlpool refrigerator

consumer justice 4/24/2025

I bought the refrigerator a month ago and there are some nice features like the third draw. However the ice maker takes up over 1/4 of the refrigerator space and makes only a little ice in comparison to the room it takes. The overall depth is just right for our Kitchen but more width would be a bonus considering how much room the ice maker takes up. I am hopeful that I get many use of use out of it.
