Terrible product. Compresser has gone out twice while under warranty. Craft ice maker stopped working shortly after purchase. Very difficult to work with anyone who spoke English at customer service. Took 5 weeks to get repaired the last time. Thats a very long time to go without a refrigerator/freezer.

LG Fridge Warranty - BEST IN THE INDUSTRY

Got this at Home Depot - was talked into the Protection Plan - time went by - never used the protection plan. As it turns out the Home Depot protection plan on LG fridges is a waste of money because the manufacturer warranty covers just about everything for the first 5 years Was about to throw this fridge to the curb as my Home Depot protection plan was expired and this thing stopped cooling/making ice etc. Called LG in my 4th year of ownership - and they sent a tech out within 2 days they replaced condenser compressor evaporator both ice makers - labor and parts FREE 4th year - expired Home Depot protection plan. Amazing -- HIGHLY RECOMMEND GETTING LG FRIDGE Most other fridge companies no longer offer 5 year parts/labor Do your homework Very happy Yes this fridge experienced issues within the first 4 years - but was fixed and supported by LG. This short time to failure isnt typical of LG refridgerators

So far working great. The installation was not provided. I was given free installation for being a Teacher Partner. The system removed it from the billing and I was unaware. 2 months later after a delivery nightmare there was no installation. I was told that I should have taken screenshots. I went back in and was able to provide those screenshots because the promo was still available. I notified the President and Customer Service - NO RESPONSE

LG ThinQ Failure At 3 Years

Not quite three years old LG ThinQ and after multiple service calls a compressor replacement two cycles of recharging refrigerant we finally gave up. Freezer was not making ice consistently even after replacing both ice makers. Refrigerator was not holding temperature below 40 degrees and freezer never got colder than 10 degrees. Bought a new replacement unit from another brand to move on. Very disappointing experience with LG.

After several months it started a ticking sound. I had to turn off the ice maker. The directions are incomplete. I still do not understand them. A repairman showed me a switch that was mentioned nowhere. The size is good. The design is good.

This product is larger than most front door s and will need to be taken apart before it can be brought into the house. We had to remove a door which has electric wires computer wires and water hoses. Tough but worth it n the end. Large and spacious. We have had multiple issues over the 6 years we had it with the ice ball maker but none witht he acuat fridge or freezer. The door ice make tends to jam up and to have to bump it a time or two to losen the stuck ice. We found that the external door does not keep parishable drinks such as milk fresh past experation dates. So we ended up putting milk in the main fridge and things like tea juice and lemonaide in the outer door area. It keeps everything fresh and is quiet except when the craft ice balls drop. Drives the dogs nuts. It seems to be pretty efficient especially if you use the LG app to see where and when the doors are opened and how long.

Great size for a large family or for those just needing extra food storage space. Looks are great and cleaning is easy. Only downside has been that after being flawless for the first 13-14 months it has now stopped cooling to set temperatures. The refrigerator will only cool to 42 degrees and the freezer will on go down to 10 degrees which is too warm for the ice makers to work. Been waiting over a month for a resolution

Very poor Craft Ice Maker and other issuea

We purchased the LG fridge because we loved the idea of the Craft ice maker and it has only worked for short periods at a time we have had 4 replacements of the Craft ice maker very dissatisfied. Recently the fridge stopped cooling and found out it had a coolant leak all the fluid leaked out. The tech had to replace the compressor and condenser and several other parts. Also the right side door does not pops open every time you close the left side door sometimes it will not shut properly and the door alarm goes off.

My refrigerated went out within 3 years. I called support and didnt get anywhere so I did chat to report issue. I was under the impression that my fridge was still under warranty but was informed not under warranty. This is not goods quality that it would only work this short time for the expense I paid for it I had to get the craft ice machine replaced prior to the fridge not working. I purchased all LG products. Have had in past but dont think I will if this is how long the product last.

It was so gorgeous in the store. Had issues after purchase. Have had a tech repair 5X-6X since July 2023. Severe issues with staying cold producing ice cold water and door moisture droplets. It does hold a lot fridge freezer.Runs quietly when operating correctly. Mine is a custom black fridge.

Not even a month into usage of the first one the EXACT same issue manifested on this one. 4 months into this product usage and already 2 repaid for the same thing so at the next one it will also be bought back and I will take my business to any other brand other than LG. LG Knowingly used a linear compressor that was ineffective and defective. They removed all identifying information from the refrigerator and discarded the shipping box and all documentation with information regarding the class action suit against LG. When calling LG they refuse to acknowledge the defective units and will not replace the refrigerator. The refrigerator failed within one year after purchase. To my knowledge the class action has not yet been settled.

The freezer is completely toast after 3 years. 1 of the 3 coils on the condenser are frosted. It no longer freezes the freezer or makes ice. Its a major part that is broken and is not fixable.

It stopped making ice so they replaced the fan unit that is located behind the freezer drawer. That wasnt the fix. $240 PLUS labor. Still not making ice all that well. Then it decides to just start failing and sends a warning that it cannot maintain the freezer temperature. I had to scramble and move all the freezer stuff to my garage freezer. Now after buying a refrigerator thermometer I see it is holding the temp at 16F with nothing in the freezer. It will not make ice at all. We have owned this piece of garbage for 1.5 years. The repair people are telling me the 10 year compressor warranty isnt worth a crap because the cost in labor to repair makes it not worthwhile so they arent even really dont much for me. Garbage product.

I Purchased through LG had my new fridge installed on 4/11/25. Has not cooled properly freezer not maintaining temps. After several phone calls they sent a replacement on 5/2/25. It took the drivers 3hrs to put it together to find out replacement water and ice line is not working and the door alarm wont stop so the delivery drivers took the replacement back and gave us the original fridge. So now its 3 weeks with a non working fridge but LG has my money . We have food in coolers threw out so much food from it spoiling. At this point I want my money back and to take the fridge back. I should have known from the low stars not to get it.

Dont know what is being despensed till too late. Words are hard to see even in daylight. Poor design

Very disappointed the ice maker stopped working after six months. Repair person came out to fix said it was a known issue in the company and the fix lasted a few months and apparently the parts are not readily available for the repair people. Not a reliable product.

I bought this fridge a little over a year ago. I am pleased with all of its features and functions except for the craft ice maker. It quit at about 6 months in and I did not bother to replace until about a month ago. LG was quick to send a replacement but I had to install it my self. They did however send along 3 extra water filters for my willingness to replace it myself. Very easy install if your are handy with tools. Took about 15 minutes total. Overall I am happy with this unit so far.

I bought this refrigerator thinking how great it would be. Had problems with ice maker from the beginning. Craft ice would not work correctly. Then it started making a knocking noise. They put in new icemaker worked great for awhile then started knocking again. Then fridge started making a squealing noise. Tech said it was compressor they replaced that. Well the freezer still wont freeze like it should. Lost a gallon of ice cream and a 30 count of sausage. Scared to put anything else in the freezer. Tech came back out and said they could not touch it anymore so I am stuck with a lemon of a freezer.

Bought on 12/28 and delivered on 12/31. It was a quick shipment but that is the ony good news. The unit only worked for less than 2 days before going completely dark. Called LG and they stated they would get someone out in 5 days so no fridge for 5 days and thats before they would diagnose the problem. Spoke with LG who was no help. They said they would escalate but didnt really care since they wont replace the unit nor expedite the service. Stay away unit only lasted 2 days. Wheres their quality control?
